My Reading List

My reading list is constantly changing and I’ll try my best to keep it updated! If you would like to leave any suggestions, I’d be more than happy to give them a read when I get the chance to purchase them.

  • Silverthorn and The Darkness at Sethanon by Raymond E. Feist. The third and fourth books of The Riftwar Saga. Magician dragged me into this saga and reading Feist is teaching me a lot about storytelling.
  • The Scar by China Mieville. I have no idea what this book is about, but I loved China Mieville’s Perdido Street Station and hopefully will enjoy this just as much.
  • The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. I started reading this book because I had the box set sitting around for while awhile and decided that it should be put to use. On a brief reading hiatus of this series, but will soon finish it.
  • Plot and Structure by James Scott Bell. This book is actually a part of a series designed to help readers write great fiction. If I enjoy this book, then I’ll definitely look into purchasing the others very soon. So far it is pretty nice, though this is coming from someone who doesn’t have a degree in English or Creative Writing – if that even matters!

Books I plan on reading in the future include the following:

  • The Elements of Style by Strunk and E.B. White. I finally received this book in the mail some time ago and have been reading it off and on. It is a great book, but its straight-forward, textbook-like style of information doesn’t suit me in large bursts.
  • The Rise of the Iron Moon by Stephen Hunt. I’ve enjoyed the past two books set in Jackals and I can’t wait to dive into the third.
  • The City & The City by China Mieville. I loved Peridido Street Station and I’m eager to read more books from this author.

Previous entries that are now complete:

  • Magician by Raymond E. Feist
  • Perdido Street Station by China Mieville
